image Where Do I Draw Inspiration From? Part 2

So, last week I spoke about how I got inspiration from having one design idea and trying to create it.

One example was the Ferrari logo, which I thought looked great!

However, sometimes I look at slightly different methods to create something new and refreshing.

Sometimes I like to get inspiration by, instead of having one design idea, I have one material that I particularly feel like using. I then think of a flower which I think would compliment it.

An example would be something like this:

I saw these long strips of bendy wood (I have no idea what they are supposed to be called) and wanted to use them creatively.

I started by creating a ball shape to hold the flowers, but I wanted to make something a little different so I came up with the idea of creating the ‘Triple Heart’ which hung over the front of the vase.

In my eyes at least, it adds that extra dimension of differentiation to really have that bold impact, even if it does have only a few flowers in it!
