Everyone seems to throw away Tulip leaves. The leaves have such great texture and form if you know how to use them.
That’s why I decided to create an arrangement using them. I curled up the leaves and placed them in the vase. Filing the vase enough to support themselves, I then began to place the flower stems through the holes of the leaves.
The leaves create a strong enough structure, to withstand flowers, when curled up tight, but not too tight that you can’t fit the stems through them!
As photos below show in better detail.
This gives you a great medium to use for flower arranging. No need for unsightly floral foam in clear vases. No need to be able to tie a perfect hand-tied bouquet. Anyone could do this!
Curling the leaves like this are an ideal technique for minimalist arrangements.
